Abby's Place in Havana!
You can have access to wifi about two blocks (200 m) from Abby's Place at the CAPRI Hotel for 2 CUC an hour. Computers are available and may be accessed in the FOCSA building just down the street from AP. Their offices are open every day from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM. You can buy a card that can be used on different occasions until you reach the maximum time allowed on the card.
Location is everything and if you wish to walk to take in the sights and sounds of Vedado, there are many places to visit. Just blocks away are the main thoroughfare, La Rampa; the famous ice-cream parlour, Copelia; grocery stores; farmers’ markets and pizzerias. Scores of restaurants for all budgets are available nearby. Just around the corner is El Gato Tuerto, a jazz bar where Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their anniversary when they visited Havana. El Gato can also mix a fantastic mojito. For a day of sunning, swimming and socializing, the pools at the Hotel Nacional or the Habana Libre, are within walking distance, available for 18 and 15 CUCs respectively of which two-thirds or more is a credit toward any food or drink you order that day at the respective hotel.
The FOCSA, the tallest building in Havana, is only a little over a block away (100 meters). It has a bank, a food market, a pharmacy, a post office, two restaurants (La Torre, on the 24th floor, with a spectacular city view) and El Emperador on the ground floor. There is also a cafeteria (TV/coffee), several stores for shopping and a place with computers. You can find fruits and vegetables on our same street, 17, at the corner of K, about 300 meters away, and other restaurants. There are two cinemas (La Rampa and Yara), for movies well within walking distance and the night club El Parisien in the famous and historic Hotel Nacional.
